The One With The Hunger Games Nail Art

On Friday I went to the midnight premiere of The Hunger Games!! Of course I needed some Hunger Games nails :) I was planning on doing portraits of Katniss and Peeta and writing "The Hunger Games" somewhere on my nails but that never happened. I was tired and not in a great mood the other day so I was hating everything I did. I got really frustrated so I threw a flame on some of my nails and called it a day. lol.  Then I hated how they looked in all of the pictures so thats the reason for the awkward pictures...

The one nail that I actually did like was my little mockingjay. I actually took all of my nail polish off when I got home but I still have this on because I don't want to take it off haha.

You can see the flame in the background of this one.

And then... I got my swap package from Gwen yesterday! She sent me to Catrice Million Styles top coats! I wanted to see what the smokey topcoat looked like over the flame before I took them off. Now I like it! lol. I wish I would have had this a day earlier. I already started picking it off so excuse the ugliness on the tip.... hahaa.

Aside from my nails that I hated, the movie was amazing. I can't wait to go see it again! There were a few minor things I was a little disappointed with though. The thing that bothered me the most was that their were no flames on her nails!!! It probably doesn't matter to most people but I was so excited to see how they were gonna do them :( Effie did have some funky looking nail though.

Look out for "Nail Mail Monday" to see what I got in my swap with  Gwen

  1. Wow that Mockingjay is amazing! I was just saying to my daughter after the movie that I can't believe they didn't do Katniss' nails! Well at least they never showed it if they did.

  6. Glad to hear you liked the movie. Only have heard from one person they thought it was meh. They were a big fan of the books (all but the last one I should say)...it's hard to translate books to movies. I am surprised that Harry Potter series did as well over so many as it did. I too am still liking your mocking bird.
